British chef Marc Fosh – the first (and so far only) British chef in Spain to have had his cuisine recognized with a Michelin star, while he was at Reads Hotel on Mallorca – has been named 2014-2015 ambassador for olive oils of Mallorca (Embajador del Aceite de Mallorca).
This is the fourth time that the Consejo Regulador de la DO Aceite de Mallorca has chosen an ambassador for the island’s oils; the title recognizes the individual’s contribution to raising awareness of the oils produced on Mallorca.
The presentation was made to Marc at his Simply Fosh http://www.simplyfosh.com restaurant in Palma de Mallorca.

Sundays can be very quiet in Palma de Mallorca, as many restaurants, cafes and bars in the heart of the city don’t open at all.
